The First-Year Seminar (FYS) program offers multiple opportunities to learn with and from other FYS faculty. If you are interested in proposing a new FYS course and/or submitting an existing course for the FYS advisory group’s review as part of the new General Education implementation (starting Fall 2024), you are encouraged to first attend a one-hour session, “(Re)Proposing and Revising Your FYS Course for the New Gen Ed,” during one of the following dates/times:
- Thursday, October 5, 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM
- Friday, October 6, 12 PM – 1 PM
- Thursday, January 25, 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM
- Friday, January 26, 12 PM – 1 PM
There are two goals for the hour:
To provide tips for faculty on how to (re)propose your FYS;
- To share changes to the program under the new General Education Curriculum.
